The first breeder holds the name

Every post below is a record of something that was logged: a player, a cross, a time, and the permanent name if one has been entered. Nothing is written ahead of the event, and nothing is rewritten after it.

A cross reads "??? x ???" until both of its parents have been bred by somebody. That is why the register fills in blocks: one discovery can make dozens of recipes readable at once.

A line report is the other half of this. Breeding a cross first is a race and happens once; growing one strain on, generation after generation, is open to anybody who arrives late.
